Post Christmas Blues

Recently, I was able to teach about 7 Things I and we were given at Christmas.  Not things like iphones, clothes, snacks and other items that we consume and that wear out.  No, we looked at 7 truths that are eternal and never fading.

Well, today, as I was dealing with the Post Christmas Blues for one reason or another, I had to step back and look at what I have in Christ.

In Jesus...

I have been given a Spiritual Birth which I dearly needed in light of my sinfulness.

I have a Heavenly Home prepared for me.  That's something to look forward to.

I am part of God's Family.  A Loving Father, and I didn't deserve it - wow!

I have been set FREE.  Free from my sins, no longer a slave, free to worship God, Free!

I will receive a Glorious Crown.  Treasures on earth will fade, but not eternal treasures.  

I am known by God.  His angels rejoiced when I came to Christ - because He love me.

I am Victorious.  I am on the winning team against evil because of Christ.

When I look at those gifts that were all a part of Jesus coming to be like us, it changes my mindset.  And as you consider those gifts, I hope it changes your mindset as well.
